Project-Based Recruitment

QualiFind has managed numerous RPO and Project-Based Recruitment projects over the years and has seen a marked increase in the number of these types of engagements since 2005. Our RPO model is capable of quickly devoting the necessary resources to outsource your recruiting function on a temporary or permanent basis to us. Whereas our Project-Based Recruitment model can be applied to manage multiple hires within a specific timeframe.

Project-Based Recruitment

Project-Based or Project-Oriented Recruiting can be as simple or as complex as your needs are. Typically, we refer to situations that call for multiple hires within a specific timeframe to be Project-Based Recruitment. When you have one or more of the following needs and conditions, you may want to consider discussing Project-Based Recruitment with us:

  • Your internal resources are minimal or non-existent.
  • You are being tasked with hiring several positions within a specific timeframe and/or you are anticipating an increase in hiring activity and need help specifically for that increase.
  • Your current use of recruitment agencies is too costly and you desire consistency, elasticity and the ability to tie cost reduction to volume business with your recruiting partner.
  • Your executive team is not happy with the progress being made by your internal hiring managers and a significant change is necessary to address the problem.
  • Your executive team wants greater accountability or a more consistent option than is being provided by internal recruiters, contract recruiters or employment agencies.
  • Your executive team recognizes that hiring the right people for your organization is essential to organizational objectives, however the process of recruiting these people would take human resources assets off of other organizational objectives that are essential and therefore a project-oriented approach would be a solution.
  • There is no single point of accountability and management for the recruiting function. Additionally, metrics relevant to recruiting quality, speed and costs are unknown but are needed.
  • Increased pressure to reduce recruitment expense and a project-oriented approach would allow your organization to gain value from improved metric performance as well as reduced costs from leveraging the scale of the project.

Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)

QualiFind’s customized RPO model can be a highly efficient solution when you have one or more of the following needs and conditions:

  • Your current use of recruitment agencies is too costly and is becoming an internal control issue.
  • The cost to upgrade your hiring infrastructure is significant. Examples include integrating a new ATS or an ATS upgrade, audit issues with EEOC or OFCCP, etc.
  • Your executive team is dissatisfied with the progress being made by your internal hiring managers and a significant change is necessary to address the problem.
  • Your executive team wants greater accountability or a more consistent option than is being provided by internal recruiters, contract recruiters or employment agencies.
  • Your executive team recognize that hiring the right people for your organization is essential to organizational objectives, however the process of recruiting these people is non-essential.

Our project-oriented recruiting services can be as comprehensive as your needs require. We have managed projects in both the US and Mexico that required that we handle everything from advertising, talent mapping, candidate sourcing, screening and then organizing hiring events for hiring managers from multiple locations to fly into to screen the candidates and begin the selection and hiring process. In other cases, we have managed elements of that process. We can customize a program to meet your specific needs.

One of the more typical applications of our project-based services has been to support Greenfield start-ups. This is particularly true for maquiladora start-ups during their initial hiring phase which would include the leadership team down through functional management, supervisory and technical support roles.

The more we can be aware of the dynamics of your organization, the better prepared we can be to customize and execute a project-oriented program to meet your needs. The following examples are things we can examine and/or work with you on the front-end to ensure a successful outcome:

  • Define the reason/s why you need to outsource the recruitment function.
  • We will outline your current process to include approvals, assessments, drug screening and on boarding.
  • We will look at your current metrics and help you define and set realistic expectations for the following metrics:

    - Current average cycle times (time to present the person hired, time to accept and time to start)
    - Current average cost-per-hire and how you arrived at those numbers

  • Define the number of hiring managers that would be supported by the RPO and where they are located.
  • Position details to include: job titles, brief description of responsibilities, salary ranges, locations, number of hires for each location during the past and present year and what the expected number of hires would be for the period of time that the RPO would be in place.
  • We can look at your actual hires by source for the previous year to include internal transfers, employee referrals, Internet, search firms and agencies.
  • We can discuss your present recruiting infrastructure to see what the RPO can replace or add support to, such as how many recruiters, admin staff, tech support staff and the types of technology needed.
  • Establishing or enhancing an employee referral program.
  • Review any existing service level agreements with your internal hiring managers.
  • If your organization has diversity objectives, we can get those integrated into the process.
  • Retention statistics
  • Areas of previous hiring challenges
  • Get an accurate description of your organizational culture.
  • Define your employment branding activities and related budget.
